I am a finance executive, author, educator, researcher and strategic leader with over 30 years of experience across banking, capital markets, mortgage finance, corporate leadership, education, consulting and professional development.
Throughout my career, I have combined professional practice, research, teaching and writing to make finance and investment knowledge more accessible, practical and relevant to individuals, professionals and institutions.
I currently serve as the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN), where I work with industry stakeholders to strengthen Nigeria’s housing finance ecosystem through policy advocacy, research, capacity building and institutional development.
My professional journey has included leadership positions at Chartered Bank Plc, B. Adedipe Associates Limited, RMS Investment Trust Limited, and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), where I served as Registrar/CEO for seven years, having previously headed its Education and Training Directorate. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on financial markets, investment, banking, governance, professional education and organisational leadership.
RESEARCH, TEACHING AND WRITING
Beyond executive leadership, research, teaching and writing are at the heart of my professional passion.
I have always believed that financial knowledge should not remain confined to textbooks, lecture rooms or professional institutions. It should be translated into practical knowledge that people can understand and apply in making better decisions about money, investments, careers, businesses and long-term wealth creation.
My research interests and professional writings span personal finance, investment, capital markets, mortgage finance, financial literacy, wealth creation, banking and financial-sector development.
Through my books, articles, lectures, seminars and this platform, I seek to bridge the gap between financial theory and everyday financial decision-making.
I am the author of three books:
- Winning with Money – practical principles for managing money effectively and building wealth.
- The Nigerian Equity Playbook – a comprehensive guide to investing successfully in the Nigerian stock market.
- Earn More, Build Wealth – strategies for increasing income, building wealth and pursuing long-term financial independence.
This website is an extension of that passion. It provides a platform through which I can share research, ideas, practical financial insights and lessons from my professional experience, while also making my books and other educational resources available to a wider audience.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
My academic background includes a PhD in Finance, MBA, MSc degrees in Finance & Investment and Agricultural Economics, and bachelor's degrees in Applied Accounting and Agricultural Extension & Rural Sociology, together with postgraduate studies in business research methods.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), an Associate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, and a Member of the Association of Certified International Investment Analysts (ACIIA).
My work has been recognised through several awards and honours, including the UK Chevening Scholarship, CFA (UK) Award for Outstanding Investment Research, CISI Top Postgraduate and Educational Trust Awards, and the Excellent Leadership Award of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

My professional life has been driven by a simple conviction: better financial knowledge leads to better financial decisions, and better financial decisions can transform lives and institutions.
Whether through executive leadership, research, teaching, writing or public engagement, my goal is to make finance more understandable and actionable.
I am particularly passionate about helping people understand money, invest wisely, increase their income, build sustainable wealth and achieve greater financial independence.
I also believe strongly in lifelong learning and the importance of continuous research, critical thinking and knowledge sharing in an increasingly complex financial world.
